We started with a small question.
What if listening to live music online cost the same as a coffee — and went straight to the person playing?
Aura Sessions began in a kitchen in Lisbon in late 2024, between a guitarist who couldn't fill a venue and a developer who couldn't stop showing up to her living-room sets.
The model that emerged was almost embarrassingly simple. One dollar to walk into the room. One dollar that wires straight to the artist's bank, in minutes. No subscription, no algorithm deciding who deserves to be heard, no advertising bending the experience.
We're a team of seven, distributed between Lisbon, Brooklyn, and Lagos. We are not venture-backed. We are funded by a small group of founders who like musicians more than they like growth charts.

100%. We make money another way, eventually. Until then, the math is honest.

Recorded music has a thousand homes. Live music needs one that pays in real time.
Small rooms scale
A great session of 40 people beats a stadium nobody felt. We optimize for the former.

Sessions are listed chronologically. Discovery is editorial, not optimized for retention.
